Our American Blackbelly Sheep Flock
We are a small farm located in Santa Fe, Texas who raise American Blackbelly hair sheep. That means they require no shearing which is very nice with our hot summers. They are also parasite resistant and hardy animals. Our sheep are fed hay, small amounts of grain, sheep minerals and good old grass. We enjoy caring for our flock and they reward us with lamb crops every six to eight months. We are steadily growing our flock and just added 5 ewes, but our goal for the future is to find more land so we may raise some rams to maturity for trophy animals and be able to supply animals from different bloodlines. This way you'll be able to pick up your ram and your ewes in the same place. We are members of BBSA, Intl. which is where I recieved most of my information on the breed. You can go to www.blackbellysheep.org for more information. If you would like me to contact you when I have lambs available throughout the year, send me a contact request and I'll be happy to do so. Be sure to let me know if you want them registered so I can have the paperwork complete before you arrive to pick up your sheep.
